Indications:
Hyperlipidemias of Type IIa, IIb, III, IV and V.
Hyperlipidemias of Type IIa, IIb, III, IV and V.
Mode of Action:
Fenofibric acid activates Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor type a (PPARa). The resulting fall in triglycerides produces an alteration in the size and composition of LDL from small, dense particles, to large buoyant particles.
