Brimonidine Tartrate

Description:
Brimonidine is an alpha 2 adrenergic receptor agonist which is used to reduce ocular pressure.
Indications:
Open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Mode of Action:
Brimonidine is an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist which reduces the production of aqueous humor from ciliary process. It has a peak ocular hypotensive effect occurring at two hours of post-dosing.
