Mode of Action:
Clindamycin is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. It binds with 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria and inhibits synthesis of peptide chain. Tretinoin is a retinoid that has been shown to reduce microcomedo ormation. It also reduces the cohesiveness and increases the turnover of follicular epithelial cells, causing extrusion of the comedones.
