Indications:
Indicated for reducing elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Mode of Action:
Tafluprost is a prostaglandin analog, which lowers intraocular pressure primarily by increasing uveoscleral outflow and to a lesser extent, enhancing aqueous humor drainage through the trabecular outflow pathway. In addition, Tafluprost relaxes the smooth muscle of the ciliary arteries by inhibiting Ca2+ influx into the cells. Thus, Tafluprost increases ocular blood flow and provides ocular neuroprotective action.
