Indications:
Type-2 diabetes.

Mode of Action:
Linagliptin increases the secretion of insulin from beta cell & decreases hepatic glucose overproduction by inhibiting DPP-4 enzyme & increasing the level of incretin hormones like glucagon-like peptide:1 (GLP-1) & glucose insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP).
