Neomega^® is a supplementary combination of Omega-3 Acid Ethyl Esters (eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid). Omega-3 Acid Ethyl Esters is a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids found in fish and certain plant oils that provide important health benefits. Mode of Action:
Omega-3 (EPA & DHA) competitively replace the arachidonic acid of cell membrane, thus block the cellular production of Prostaglandin PGE2 (a pro inflammatory local hormone). EPA also directly converted to Prostaglandin PGE3 (a 'good' anti inflammatory local hormone) by the help of cyclo-oxygenase. DHA enhances the integrity and fluidity of the cellular membrane that increase the responsiveness of insulin receptors, resulting in more sensitivity to insulin & utilization of glucose (produce more energy).
