Description:
Salbutamol is a Short Acting Beta2-adrenergic Agonist (SABA) and Ipratropium Bromide is a Short Acting Muscarinic Antagonist (SAMA).

Indications:
Bronchospasm associated with Asthma & COPD in patients requiring more than one bronchodilator.

Mode of Action:
Salbutamol is a beta2-adrenergic agonist which relaxes smooth muscles from the trachea to the terminal bronchioles. Ipratropium inhibits the action of acetylcholine and prevents the increase of intracellular cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cyclic GMP) and causes bronchodilation.
