Description:
Fentinox® VC is a Fenticonazole preparation which is a broad-spectrum antimycotic agent with activity against dermatophytes and yeasts. Fenticonazole has also been shown to exhibit antibacterial action against bacteria and antiparasitic action against the protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis

Indications:
Fentinox® VC is indicated for the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis.

Mode of Action:
Fenticonazole binds and inhibits ergosterol synthesis by inhibiting CYP450-dependent 14-alpha sterol demethylase. The inhibition of 14-alpha sterol demethylase results in a depletion of ergosterol in fungal cell membrane.
